Conduct a thorough, actionable resume review covering ATS optimization, content quality, formatting, and strategic positioning for the candidate's target role.
RESUME REVIEW INSTRUCTIONS:
- Analyze the resume across all 8 dimensions below. For each, provide a rating (Strong / Needs Improvement / Weak), specific observations, and concrete fix suggestions.
1. OVERALL IMPRESSION: First-glance assessment. Does it clearly communicate who this person is and what value they offer? Would a recruiter spend more than 6 seconds on it?
2. ATS COMPATIBILITY: Check for ATS-unfriendly elements -- tables, columns, graphics, headers/footers, unusual fonts, non-standard section headings. Flag keyword gaps relative to the target role.
3. FORMATTING: Assess consistency of fonts, spacing, bullet styles, date formats, and alignment. Check for visual hierarchy and scannability. Note length appropriateness for experience level.
4. CONTENT QUALITY: Evaluate whether bullets are achievement-oriented (not just responsibility lists). Check for the XYZ formula, strong action verbs, and specificity.
5. IMPACT METRICS: Count how many bullets include quantified results. Flag bullets that could be strengthened with metrics and suggest what to measure.
6. SECTION-BY-SECTION FEEDBACK: Walk through each resume section (Summary, Experience, Education, Skills, etc.) with targeted feedback.
7. KEYWORDS: Compare resume language against common requirements for the target role. Identify missing high-value keywords and suggest where to incorporate them.
8. RED FLAGS: Identify anything that might raise concern -- unexplained gaps, job-hopping patterns, inconsistent progression, typos, outdated skills listed prominently.
- Conclude with a prioritized action list: the top 5 changes that would have the biggest impact.
OUTPUT CONSTRAINTS:
- Use the 8 numbered section headers above
- Include a rating (Strong / Needs Improvement / Weak) for each section
- Be direct and specific -- avoid vague praise ("looks good overall")
- Prioritize suggestions by impact
- End with a "TOP 5 CHANGES" summary list
