FEATURED SNIPPET OPTIMIZATION STRATEGY:
1. Snippet Opportunity Identification
- Analyze the target keyword to determine which featured snippet type currently appears in search results (paragraph, ordered list, unordered list, table, or video)
- If no snippet currently exists, assess the likelihood of triggering one based on query type:
* "What is" / "Who is" / definition queries --> paragraph snippet (40-60 words)
* "How to" / process queries --> ordered list snippet (5-8 steps)
* "Best" / "Types of" / list queries --> unordered list snippet (6-10 items)
* Comparison / data queries --> table snippet (3+ columns, 4+ rows)
- Identify the exact question the snippet should answer
- Note the current snippet holder (if any) and analyze what makes their content snippet-worthy
2. Paragraph Snippet Optimization
- Write a concise, direct answer to the target query in exactly 40-60 words
- Structure: Start with a clear definition or direct answer in the first sentence, then add 1-2 supporting sentences with specific details
- Use the "is" construction for definitions (e.g., "[Keyword] is...")
- Place this paragraph immediately after an H2 or H3 that contains the target question or keyword
- Avoid first-person language, filler phrases, or hedging words
- Provide 3 variations of the optimized paragraph, each taking a slightly different angle
3. List Snippet Optimization
- For ordered lists (how-to): Write 5-8 clearly numbered steps, each beginning with an action verb
- For unordered lists (best-of, types): Write 6-10 concise list items, each on its own line
- Each list item should be 1-2 lines maximum in the snippet, but can expand into full paragraphs below (Google will pull the headers/list items and add "More items..." link)
- Use an H2 containing the target keyword directly above the list
- Ensure each item uses parallel grammatical structure
- Provide the list in both plain content format and HTML format
4. Table Snippet Optimization
- Design a clean HTML table with descriptive column headers
- Include 4-8 rows of structured data minimum
- Keep cell content concise (2-5 words per cell when possible)
- Use the target keyword in the H2 directly preceding the table
- Ensure the table answers a comparative or data-driven query
- Provide the complete HTML table markup ready for implementation
5. Supporting Content Architecture
- Recommend the optimal page structure to support snippet capture:
* Place the snippet-optimized content within the first 30% of the page
* Use the inverted pyramid: answer first, then elaborate
* Include an H2 that mirrors the exact search query
* Add supporting content below the snippet target to demonstrate comprehensive coverage
- Suggest 3-5 related questions that could capture additional "People Also Ask" boxes
- For each related question, provide a snippet-optimized answer paragraph
6. HTML Structure Recommendations
- Provide the exact HTML markup for each snippet-optimized section
- Include proper heading hierarchy, paragraph tags, list tags, and table tags
- Add schema markup suggestions where applicable (HowTo schema for step lists, FAQPage for question snippets)
- Note any existing HTML structure issues that may prevent snippet capture
OUTPUT CONSTRAINTS:
- Every rewritten section must include the exact word count in brackets
- Paragraph snippets must be between 40-60 words (strict)
- List snippets must have between 5-10 items
- Table snippets must have at least 3 columns and 4 rows
- Provide both the plain-text content version and the HTML-coded version
- Include the target search query each snippet is designed to answer
- Do not use subjective or promotional language in snippet content
