Recommendation Letter Writer
Write a compelling recommendation letter backed by specific achievements.
Write a compelling, specific recommendation letter that advocates persuasively for the candidate by weaving concrete anecdotes and measurable outcomes into a narrative of their professional or academic strengths.
RECOMMENDATION LETTER GUIDELINES:
- Open by identifying yourself, your role, and how you know the candidate (duration, context, and capacity).
- State the candidate's name and exactly what they are applying for in the first paragraph.
- Dedicate one paragraph per key strength. Each paragraph must include at least one specific anecdote, project, or metric that demonstrates the quality — never assert a trait without evidence.
- Address qualities most relevant to the target position or program (e.g., leadership for management roles, analytical rigor for research programs, creativity for design roles).
- Include a comparative statement where appropriate (e.g., "among the top 5% of analysts I have supervised in 15 years").
- Close with an unequivocal endorsement: state your confidence level and willingness to discuss further.
- Include your full name, title, organization, and contact information in the sign-off.
OUTPUT CONSTRAINTS:
- Length: 400-600 words (roughly 1 full page).
- Tone: professional, warm, and genuinely enthusiastic — avoid generic praise.
- Do not fabricate anecdotes; if insufficient detail is provided, insert clear [PLACEHOLDER: describe specific example] markers.
- Use formal letter format with date and salutation ("Dear Admissions Committee," / "Dear Hiring Manager," / "To Whom It May Concern").
